Orangutans are pretty intelligent, actually :D It's humans that are often incapable of justifying their role as leading primates of this world.

Seems Nelson filed a very interesting patent application back in 2007.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO SELECTIVELY ACQUIRE A DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION DURING AN ADD GRACE PERIOD

Abstract
A method to selectively acquire a domain name registration comprises obtaining a registration for the domain name, and, during an add grace period,

I hate software patents... I hate them viscerally... really...

And I have to disclose, that I'm a 25 year software developer... I know I should kind of be pro software patents.. but no...

Even the description of the patent sound so stupid to me... really...

Heck, may be this is not even a software patent..... lol..... but still sound stupid... disgusting... horror.

This individual needs to be prosecuted. If this guy isn't a thief I don't know who is. This clown has scammed and ripped off domainers every single day, including weekends, for years.

Snapnames is full of shit and I hope they close down. Who wants to waste all their time and money on a company founded and run by this scum.

Their customer service is horrible too... ever try to call them by phone? lol.

Snapnames gives different customers preferential treatment.

Snapnames must have 100's of garbage registrars they use to catch deleted domains. Ever try to transfer your domain from some of these registrars? lol. Snapnames uses Domain monkeys dot com. If they need to rebrand that would be a great brand name for them, very fitting!

Agreed with you 10000000000000000000000%

Let's just wait and see if it really does all fall on to just ONE individual...

Oversee is lucky. This story is already dying down. This thread dropped to the third page of new posts.

I think Oversee is a us based company so i dont know much about justice system over there, here in Greece we have prosecutors that act alone when they hear, read or be told something that seems to be above the law. They bring the case to justice and at the same time they work in order to find where everything first begun so they have enough data to present on court(s).

I think everyone's just temporarily tired of talking about this. Although the forum postings may die down a bit because the issue isn't as fresh anymore, the issue as a whole is just getting started.

I agree to a point here... it's either this, or most already started accepting the Rusty deals.

Face it, most people rather take the money, sign the agreements and move on, rather than dealing with fighting with a company, risk possibly not getting any money.

I don't have any money at risk here, so I can't really be so judgmental about whatever anyone decides to do, but I would definitely like to see Nelson Brady and any other (if any other) parties involved get what they deserve.

I think it's a good thing to calm down a little and let the rational decisions take over from the initial emotional reactions.

yes, we have therm here too
they're called 'ambulance chasers'

the new breed of 'ip lawyers' tantamount to the same. all w*nkers
apart from john berryhill

i think off the back of everything thats gone on in the economy everyone wants to see justice for a change though here and i want to see people go down. also we all have so many friends here who have been ripped off, noone can afford to lose money and its the principle. this is fraud on an industrial scale too :upset:

i think theres a LOT more to come out on this too....................

It really, really, make me hard laugh when I read.... "I don't know in the USA.. but in my country with have a police and blah, blah...."
And not just this last one, I think they are like 5 more comments in this thread...

And what make me laugh hard is to think.... if I were to told something like that.....
"Well, guys, I don't know in the USA, but here in Mexico, we have powerful drug dealers and sicarios... you can get one to hire in almost every neighborhood, for as cheap as $2,000 a head, plus travel expenses...."

Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Domain Name Provider
http://www.sys-con.com/node/1178019

I'm probably late, but incase anyone missed this.

I ve read it here also:
first class action filed against oversee today/

Sounds like a lawyer/domainer filed this class action suit. One lawyer does not make a class.

Great, we are all going to get a $5 coupon as settlement :-#:

I see there are a lot of non-poker players on here!

In poker terms this is just the anti-up stage, the cards have not even been dealt yet and yet some already want to walk away from the table - that is absolutely their right, just seems strange to me.

Ante-up ;)

You can't blame anyone for getting out when they think is good though... it all comes down to what they are willing to accept to avoid hassle... but what sucks is if the majority do this, this guy is going to walk away and its going to be business as usual...
