Assume multi-national corporations are in a bidding war to purchase these domains. Which domain do you think would fetch the most $$$$$?

1. sex .com
2. green .com
3. cellphones .com
4. hotels .com
5. insurance .com
6. homes .com
7. poker .com
8. mortgage .com
9. casino .com
10. news .com

Of those I think Homes.com and Poker.com would go for the most.

There are others like Insurance.com / Mortgage.com which could go for as much or more.

News.com could also do well with so many large corporations in the field.

With those types of domains you have an almost unlimited ceiling to the right buyer.

Edited the list to include the 3 domains you mentioned. Kicked out cloud .com, shopping .com and solar .com

Only If I owned Just those 10 Domains-- Sighs

domains worth over 500k$ are not subjected to bidding wars or manic throwing of money

when someone is going to pay millions of dollar for something , he calculates everything very well before even sending offers

and the seller has to prove how his goods are worth of investment

the domains you listed are no longer domain names , they are large corporations and valuation and bidding will depend on how these corporations doing in terms of profits

sex, poker ,casino are all dirty money and they can fetch the highest prices simply because buyers want to wash their dirty money even if they paid more than they worth

all money is dirty :)

imo...

cellphones.com is imho worth the most.
and I think water.com should be on that list somewhere.

water is free so is water.com :)

With the way things have gone the last few years I would say Poker.com, absolutely everybody is at it these days, that said I wonder if everybody will still be obsessed with it in 5 years time, maybe, although there are other ones like Insurance.com or Mortgage.com that will never be at the mercy of cultural trends.

Honestly, I personally do not see shopping being in the top 10. Shopping for what? It needs a qualifier to go with it. It may be so generic that is has little punch on its own.

Primarily, the US is the only country to refer to mobile phones as cellphones. But, for traffic it would be good. I would rather have mobile or mobilephone. That translates well across all languages.

Green is a trend, should last, but also needs a qualifier (subdomain like Green.com/corporations).

Also, keep in mind you mentioned multi-national. So looking at that lists, there are some that translate well across all languages, notably sex and poker.

They are all good, some greater than others, and none I can afford.

I agree... Maybe cars.com instead of shopping?

Shopping.com replaced by hotels.com. Can't believe I left out hotels.com

Poker.com

if I had a choice of any name, that is what I would choose.

business.com along with the 'business'
