promising three letter word with a weak extension though :-D

I like it a lot. "Oak Street" brings up over 200K on Google wordwide. That's a lot of web pages, each of which is a potential customer. I would value that, whilst disregarding the TLD personally, it's highly relevant and in fact perhaps better than a dot com. Nice one.

still available, why would you choose Oak? The logic eludes me.

there are thousands of key words still availible under that extension. If you are in it for the long run and expect the a better future for .st then you should snatch them up. IMO reg fee.

OK, heres my reply...

Generally speaking, you will all agree that the Internet is relatively young. The reason I decided to hop into the domain name game was due in part to my belief that Internet addressing will be a primary method in identifying people, businesses, "streets" etc. It is true that .Com always was and currently is the only MAJOR player anyone cares about when investing. However, I feel that the Internet will soon be organized/catalogued accordingly (it has to be), its growth demands it. And If this is the case, names will be grouped according to their corresponding extensions (many more to come, we've only seen the tip of the iceberg)...

Whenever dealing with domains and the domain market, one
must realize it is purely speculative. Physical domain
names are here today, but can easily be gone tomorrow...

I really like the name, but I do not see great value (not because of the extension, but because of the word 'oak')

However, .ST domains are great I think.

..this one is highly popular, lots of exposure. ST does mean street in my opinion. Can't think what else it might stand for.

There really are some potentially valuable extensions out there. I have Gambling.VG which receives at least a couple of offers a week, but I have turned down $4k for it. Holding on to mine. I recommend you hold on to yours too. .ST is a good extension.

I like what you're doing...judging from your signature lines...you too, match the domain with the extension...as in RoyaltyFree.CD, I think this is the smart move...hopefully it will pay off down the road sometime...

like i think sellbiz.com will worth more than sell.biz or at least will woth the same

and so forth

.st can mean antything you like when you are incorporating it into your brand...! I don't understand an earlier comment here. For example, if owned a retail outlet on a famous street, (I don't) I might wish to use this as my advertising front door. e.g. Bow Street = Bow.st . It certainly looks good and would do the job.

Exactly....

www.Oak.St is a good "brand name"

Not sure exactly what the name could be used for, but that is the beauty of generics. You can go in pretty much any direction you want. In otherwords you are limited by your own creativity.

Try this out.... Ad campaign:

Check out www.oak.st for the world's only sunglasses made of "fine" oak wood. Oh, and we have our own steet of course for you to check out our other "oak" products!

note: The use of the street for creative purposes will make the "site" stand out. I guarantee no one could forget www.oak.st if they saw it in print... And isn't that the purpose of branding...
