I like to create a news aggregator such as domaining.com

Any ideas, which scripts are best for such purposes?

Hi, you could use Wordpress or Joomla.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on this? I have gotten a few suggestions, but would like to find out what else is out there for this. Thanks.

Wordpress or Joomla are the ones which are used in combination with some own developments.

Maybe it isn't what you're looking for, but I use Zebrafeeds on one of my with-content domains, and it works very well.

Thanks but the link does not seem to work. Can you give a site example using this script?

That's curious, because the link works perfectly for me. It's http://www.cazalet.org/zebrafeeds/

The site isn't finished or publicised yet, but the script is working at http://allaboutthe.eu on feeds specific to the European Union; all you need to do is to find your own feeds for your particular niche.

It works now...must have been a browser issue on my end. Thanks for the example.

By the way, has anyone used this:

feedreader.com

Hi, Just had a site developed using Drupal...check my sig for example.

Great looking site. Clean look and easy navigation.

Thanks. Drupal seems to be more complicated than word press, but their aggregator is really nice...there are nice themes available as well - free and at a cost. I bought this theme.

James2002 - I tried to PM you in response to your PM but your box if full...

what wordpress plugins are the best for feeds?

I was going to say Pligg too... It's pretty easy to set up too. I had a quote for a custom made site similar to namedrive/domaining but for a different niche, and that was between £5k-12k
