Donny,

Any new templates in the works?
If we have to end up with MULTI-CLICK Landers (not 1 click) then can you guys develop some nice landers like Trafficz did now with their "website landers"?

Thanks!

P.S. Also a "NICE" feature that I might suggest that many parking companies are implementing now is customizing the title (not only the browser title) of the parked page.

Peter, btw I'll be responding to you email in a bit. But yes, we do have a large number of templates in the works right now. When we started we called the image/style sheet combination a template and how the page is laid out a layotu. It's confusing to me, so basically today we have 2800+ image combination choices/templates. We are currently working on adding a bunch of new designs to the system, I don't have an exact ETA on them yet, but they are already being worked on now.

Got an example for me on the customizable title?

Donny

Thanks!

PM sent with example! :D

What's "confusing" to you Donny?

aside from these new templates.....why is it not possbile to go in and edit a domain name once it has been entered???....i want to capitalize the first letter....i cant do that???

Exactly my point about "customizing the title".
Some parking companies actually allow you to input your title however you want it to look...not only capitalize letters of your domain.
So peter.com can have the title: PETER'S WEBSITE! for example
This is a GREAT feature I believe!

hard to believe that this had never been requested prior?.....anyways it should of been an option from the get-go.....what if i had a typo???............i couldnt edit it???.........cmon now....

As far as I can tell we only had one person who has ever requested CamelCase or what I call DomainCase. It was added to my list week, and hopefully it should be added next week or so.

The customizable title is a little different, until we get in and see what needs to be changed, it may take a little longer to get done.

Donny

hmmm... I actaully thought of requesting it on the first day I got an account. However, since I was with Sedo before, and NameDrive took it like a giant deal, I assume that Parked would not add that feature easy enough. Maybe most people thought the same way.
In fact, I was kinda shock when ND announced that feature. I was like WTF! Was that even a news? It was supposed to be there at the first place!! LOL

I guess the problem is most people don't consider it important enough to ask about it. When we launched Parked.com I have some good friends of mine who have been using domain parking companies for years go through it with a fine tooth comb, and one of them mentioned that they had seen the option to capitolize certain letters but he didn't think it was necessary. And I think that's the same feeling most parking companies have, what does it do to make our customers more money. At least to me, not much, but I agree that it should be an option, so it will be added soon.

Donny

adding a "bookmark this page" and "make this your homepage" links at top of the page will be nice too. This may help to gradually increase recurring traffic to the site and an increase in revenue over time :)

Added to my list, but has anybody ever been dumb enough to click on the "make this your homepage" link before? :))

Donny

Forget about the homepage thingy.
It's blocked by Norton and some other anti-stinky stuff.

What about automatically insert the keywords to the title, description and meta keyword?

It does automatically fill the meta keyword, but I don't see an option for description or title.

Maybe something like this:

domain.com - {KEYWORDS} which would be replaced with
domain.com - keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, keyword4

That should be fairly easy.

Oh!! I never actually read the html!!
That rocks man, really!

On my wishlist would be some more images to choose from that are less US-centric, particularily in the areas of government, politics, law, etc. I have some .ca's in these categories and I recall only being able to pick from templates that featured images with washington/us landmarks or courtrooms with US flags, etc...

Send me some domains you have as examples and I'll get them submitted today so they can get them up sometime tomorrow.

Donny

Donny, if you add a "Search Engine" template and a "title edit" feature then nobody could come EVEN CLOSE to PARKED.COM!!! :D

I agree with all suggestions submitted by members. I hope to see them soon in place.

Cheers,
em
