Any suggestion for how best to monetize

Its never going to be a mainstream subject, so your audience is most likely very narrow.
Hard to monitize with the run of the mill options. I would suggest finding a good affiliate deal to market. For starters perhaps just an amazon plugin that sold books on quantum mechanics, but down the line you might find something more appealing through CJ.COM. They have a lot of niche stuff there including various science related companies.
You should get a number of people that work in a teaching capacity, so perhaps look into school science suppliers or similar.
