Hello DNF Community,

I'm seeking insights on Arabic domain valuations in the context of massive regional digital transformation initiatives currently underway across the Middle East.

**Background on Arabic Digital Transformation:**

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has allocated over $500 billion toward digital infrastructure, with specific mandates for Arabic-first digital services. The Saudi Digital Government Authority now requires government contractors to prioritize Arabic interfaces and cultural authenticity in all digital platforms.

The UAE's Digital Government Strategy 2025 similarly emphasizes Arabic content development, while Qatar's National Vision 2030 includes specific goals for Arabic digital sovereignty. Egypt's Digital Egypt initiative aims to digitize all government services with Arabic-primary interfaces by 2030.

**Regional Policy Drivers:**

- Saudi NEOM project requires Arabic digital integration across all smart city services
- UAE's Mohammed bin Rashid Innovation Fund prioritizes Arabic tech startups
- Qatar's sovereign wealth fund (QIA) has dedicated $50B for regional tech investments with cultural authenticity requirements
- Egyptian government contracts now include Arabic digital presence mandates
- GCC governments are moving away from English-dominant digital infrastructure

**Arabic Script Domain Considerations:**

I own 33 premium Arabic .COM domains - all single-word, core business terms with proper hamza and diacritical formatting. These represent fundamental concepts like commerce, technology, governance, and industry sectors.

**Questions for the Community:**

1. Has anyone tracked Arabic domain acquisition patterns by Gulf governments or sovereign wealth funds?

2. What impact are these digital transformation mandates having on Arabic domain valuations?

3. Are there established sales channels for premium Arabic domains targeting regional government contractors?

4. How do Arabic script domains perform in government RFP processes for digital services?

The scope of regional investment in Arabic-first digital transformation appears unprecedented. Looking for community insights on how this policy environment affects premium Arabic domain markets.

Any experiences with Gulf buyers, government contract requirements, or Vision 2030-related domain acquisitions would be valuable.

Thanks for your expertise!

Interesting post, is there a website that sources the information in your post, or just gathered from regional news?.
If you don't mind answering, are you a native Arabic speaker or developer?

Thanks for asking. The information I shared comes from regional government reports and public sources including Saudi Vision 2030, the UAE’s Digital Government Strategy, Qatar’s National Vision 2030, and Egypt’s Digital Egypt initiative. Much of it is drawn from official press releases and policy documents, along with ongoing coverage in Middle Eastern tech and investment media.

I am not a native Arabic speaker or a developer. I work a full-time job, but outside of that I devote myself fully to perfumery. I work with ingredients from Grasse in France, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, England, New Zealand, Russia, and the Balkans, and I try to understand how fragrance traditions connect with culture and identity. I also study languages such as Welsh, Irish, and Scottish Gaelic, which has given me an appreciation for how language shapes heritage and commerce.

That perspective is what led me into Arabic .COM domains. Some of the domains I’ve collected are quite interesting, and my plan has always been to create websites where each domain is tied to a fragrance theme or collection. I chose them with cultural and business relevance in mind. With the Gulf’s shift toward Arabic-first platforms, I believe these domains hold both authentic and practical value.

That's good information, thanks for sharing. I have some Arabic language major Egyptian, Saudi Arabian and Moroccan city names in .com, and some good 'category' keywords also .com. Do you get any traffic to any of your Arabic domains?

I had hoped for more interest in Arabic language domains and that advances in security and email functionality by Verisign and ICANN, coupled with AI technology would move things along for IDNs. Your post was good news hat maybe some interest is happening in Arabic countries on the local level..
