The biggest issue isn’t the keywords — it’s the extension liquidity. .today names generally need:

  • a real startup user,
  • or a developed project,
    to achieve meaningful value.

Undeveloped, I could see:

  • low-mid $xxx reseller potential if the right domainer likes the trend,
  • possibly low $x,xxx retail if AI enthusiasm continues and an end user specifically wants the phrase.

Thanks for the solid analysis! You hit the nail on the head regarding the extension liquidity for .today. It definitely needs that specific end-user who connects with the phrase. Since you have a great eye for the market, do you think outbound marketing to startups would be worth the effort for this extension, or is it better to just leave it on inbound (BIN)? Thanks again for your valuable time!"

Well I’m not sure how you would find a company that has no name yet in a start up setting, so I’d probably either do the outreach to funding groups rather than to startups. Or as you said, a parking page… that should also include using afternic to get in the seach results on GoDaddy.

Thanks, that makes sense.

I agree that reaching out to funding groups, accelerators, and investors may be more effective than trying to find startups before they have finalized a name.

I have already listed the domain on Afternic so it can appear through the GoDaddy/Afternic network and get exposure from search-driven buyers. I’m also considering using a clean parking/landing page to capture direct inquiries.

Appreciate your advice.
