Every week, a handful of .ART domains quietly lapse and drift back onto the open market. Most were personal projects or one-off registrations that ran their course, but the names themselves are often too good to stay unclaimed for long. Here's what caught our eye this week.

piece.art — About as direct as it gets for an art-adjacent name: short, plain, and open to interpretation (a piece of art, a piece of work, take your pick).
neko.art — "Cat" in Japanese, and a name with instant, easy charm. Held for over six years before finally lapsing.
doer.art — One syllable, all momentum. A clean fit for a studio, a maker, or anyone who'd rather show than tell.
packable.art — A real word with a nice double life: literal (fits in a bag) and figurative (compact, portable creative work).
textural.art — Evocative and tactile, right at home for anything visual or design-related.
honeydeu.art — A playful near-miss on "honeydew" that reads sweeter for the twist.
radiiio.art — "Radio" stretched out just enough to feel like a wink rather than a typo.
fragmental.art — Held for over six years before it dropped. A word that suggests pieces, layers, and things still coming together.

That's this week's list. If one of these is calling your name, they're open again, first come, first served.

Just Dropped: Names Worth a Second Look

Every week, a handful of .ART domains quietly lapse and head back to the pool, opening the door for someone new. We're keeping an eye on them so you don't have to. Here's this week's short list of names we think are worth grabbing before someone else does.

painted.art — About as plain and evocative as a word gets, and it fits an art registry like a glove.
manifest.art — A punchy verb-or-noun that works equally well for a studio, a project, or a manifesto.
wavee.art — A stylized twist on "wave," light and aesthetic without trying too hard.
cacto.art — Short, warm, and botanical: cactus with the edges softened.
nadya.art — A clean single first name with no surname attached, quiet and poetic.
crayona.art — A playful coinage with an art-supply flavor baked right in.
goldfoil.art — A compound term that conjures finishing touches and gilded detail.
lumare.art — A light-themed coinage with a lumière-esque glow to it.

New batch, new picks, every week. Keep checking back.

Just Dropped: Names Worth a Second Look - some really good ones!

Every week, some good .ART names lapse and become available again. This is our weekly pick of the ones that caught our eye: evocative words, artist-friendly terms and a few lovely oddities. If one of them speaks to you, it could be yours.

awake.art: One word, bright and urgent, and it works for almost any creative project. Someone held it for over six years.
tortillion.art: The tightly rolled paper tool artists use to blend charcoal and pastel. A fun find for anyone who draws.
cirrostatus.art: The thin, veil-like cloud that makes halos around the sun and moon. Dreamy, and a little scientific.
rhizosphere.art: The busy world of soil around a plant's roots. It's a great metaphor for connected, growing practices (held for five years).
moonbeams.art: Soft, nostalgic and instantly visual.
editionless.art: A smart word for one-off work, with no prints and no copies.
uccellino.art: Italian for "little bird." It sounds as charming as it means.
tinymoments.art: A gentle name for anyone who notices small, everyday beauty.
reminiscence.art: A classic word about memory, well suited to storytelling and archival work.

Just Dropped: Names Worth a Second Look (Week of October 5)
Every week, a few great .ART names come back into circulation, and we like to give them a moment in the spotlight. This week has plenty of texture, a pigment, a little seasonal spookiness and one very comforting dessert. If one of these makes you smile, it might be time to make it yours.

fiction.art: One word that covers every story ever told. Big, clean and endlessly flexible.
tiramisu.art: Layered, rich and a little indulgent, much like good art. It was held for over four years.
levitated.art: Weightless and surreal. Made for work that seems to float off the wall. It was held for over five years.
chromeoxide.art: A classic green pigment straight from the paint box. Painters will get it right away.
hauntedhouses.art: Just in time for October. Moody, cinematic and full of creaky charm.
peculiarity.art: For the odd, the curious and the wonderfully strange. It was held for over two years.
uncolored.art: Raw linework, sketches and monochrome all fit here. Sometimes less is the whole point.
cloudseeding.art: A poetic idea about making something come down from the sky. Very evocative for a creative project.
wingswept.art: An old poetic word that feels like motion and lightness.
huggable.art: Warm, playful and instantly friendly. Perfect for soft sculpture, plush or character design.
