What is up with majority of domainers online! I see all crap registered!!! Why would anyone buy 2-3 words .asia domains that have no market!!! The 2-3 words are not even a premium combination!

It's not cheap to register .asia - People just jump and reg crap with out thinking twice! This is why they keep introducing new extensions, cause there are a lot of rookies on board who make them rich!

I agree with your concern. There is a learning curve to domaining and new domainers need to do their research before they get caught up in the excitement.

"speculate to accumulate"

If people have got the money to reg a few, whats the problem?
Most of the premium generics are either sunrise or in the mutiple auctions.

I am sure people are buying a few and putting them away for a year just to see what happens.

I have had a couple of emails already from companies offering to sue me :) so there must be "legs" in the extension

Indeed, and it didn't even take a flowery reason to get the lemmings on board.

I am more amazed at the sales threads the same day it became available.

If I really, really, really, really wanted an asia, I would hand reg it.

And the appraisals requested?

I really think they don't want to know.

Yeah, I've seen too many .asia names that I wouldn't even register in .com

Carrera.asia already taken.

I think it went for $350 in Sunrise Auction.

I remember seeing that someone regged Bilbobaggins.asia. Bilbo Baggins. hahaha

I agree with the original post, surprised at what some people are regging, and how much, at this early stage. I guess it's a good way to learn about domains, but it takes about one year when you're faced with the renewals.
