Appx. $80 Justin. I think this one's going to have problems as I mentioned above.

The registry will knock it back and the seller will have to refund.

I just got this:

RE: iDotz.Net Domain Registration for xn--noa98d.com Show full header

TO: deleted (me)
FROM: The Desk of iDotz.Net - Thanks for your Registration:

Dear .COM Domain Registrant,

Your application for the domain name shown in the Subject field, sent to the .COM Registry, has been rejected by the .COM Registry.

A reason for refusal may be: too generic domain name, trademark issue, limitations created by the registry causing the domain to be unavailable (i.e. single character domains are not allowed), or the name could already be registered.

We regret any disappointment or inconvenience this may have caused, and hope that you will consider choosing another .COM domain!

Use DynaDot and you'll get it.

Rulles have not changed since I registered it. When deciding which characters would be accepted or not, ICANN’s Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) Committee relied on the UNICODE consortium database.

For deeper info see the Guidelines for the Implementation of Internationalized Domain final document. Where it says “All code points in a single label will be taken from the same script as determined by the Unicode Standard Annex #24: Script Names at http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr24”

http://www.icann.org/general/idn-guidelines-07nov05.pdf

These rules may change in the future. Seller was warned that rules may change and that the domain may not work forever.

Why did it change and is now appearing as a square rather than a closed omega?

You're using ie6. Upgrade ;) ... to FireFox or, better yet, to Opera!

I am using all three...Firefox, Opera, and IE7. (mostly firefox)

The image in the graphic did not change as that was static image but the domain itself did even when it was still active on ebay.

Must have been a temporary glitch as now it is appearing as closed omega on all three.
