So, you're one of those who feel that the owner may be lying about the offers....to me its not being "cautious" its simple plain paranoia...it'd make sense to be skeptic if the owner was claiming having offers of over $10/20K but $2-3K....cummon.....I'd myself buy the name for that much anytime, and Yes, I DO believe in new tlds especially .INFO & .US.

I simply tend to be cautious ... especially with "new" extensions such as .INFO, .BIZ, .US, etc. I do hope for good times ahead, though. [/B]

Cool, do you have anything in your portfolio for the "good times" or is it all with .com-tail attached with it....like xxxxxinfo.com; xxxxxbiz.com; xxxxxxUS.com.....

But, I haven't seen any such evidence ... and from reading through other recent posts, I see a lot of folks claiming to have offers (and very near their Asking price(s)).
Let's hope all of them are real and all the domains sell in the very near future! I simply tend to be cautious ... especially with "new" extensions such as .INFO, .BIZ, .US, etc. I do hope for good times ahead, though. Good Luck.

The "proof" that such offers exist is in the fact that other similar quality .info names have sold for such figures. It is common knowledge that most one word geographical city/country .info names go for between 2-5k. This is based on the sales at Sedo.co.uk as well as the listing at http://domebase.com of .info sales, in addition to sales which have occured on this very board.

Absolutely correct Kid. These sales and many non-geographic .info sales in the same 2-5K range (like star.info) have been well documented. All valuations of names like this below $500 are by people who simply are not up to date with documented .info sales.

Fair enough, Duke! :)
I appreciate your comments. If you could simply point me in the right direction, and/or provide some links of known sold .INFO's, I'd be most appreciative. I guess I'll have to do some more research (and perhaps re-post) with that information. Thanks much! Good Luck.

Here are just a few (1 Euro = approximately $1). Note that these range up to $30,000.

Thanks, Duke! I'll read through the link and get back to the thread ... again, I appreciate your insight! :)

Better brush up on your German!

Dryheat’s knowledgeable appraisal of Athens.info indicated:

… that at this point in time the true value of the name lies somewhere in between these two extremes (probably $8-12K) with much better than 50% chance that it'd gradually move upwards with time..

The “much better than 50% chance” Heat gives, I give a >90% chance in view of other major city domain sales and the fact that the 2004 Olympic Games are in Athens.

Good luck,
William

"Better brush up on your German!"

Uh Oh! And here I am just finishing up learning Chinese! ;)
Thanks.

Is Ultimate Search selling domains or just using the traffic?

OK will a screenshot from sedo.co.uk qualify as proof?
I have an offer for 5k I declined.
And again why would I show you that?
Also 5k is not close to my asking price cause I live in Athens, the Olympics are coming up and this is the only athens domain in the 5 tlds owned by a greek. So I will try and develop it in the next few months.
I thought we are here to help each other not imply that a lot of people are not telling the truth.
