So what you're saying is that we need to kick the ass of Mr. domainstore2 :)

Not at all. He already confessed. Besides Richard is a good guy.

OK... we'll put a hold on that asskicking for now... we'll monitor his behavior for the next few days :)

Yes....Basically.

It's not hard to figure out who are you competing against. The snap system gives a more realistic feel than blind bidding sites where you don't know who you're bidding against. While you can cooperate with another person easier it can actually prove to be more difficult than you'd expect. While "courtesy" might be nice it's very unlikely that a person will stick with it unless you have had a phone conversation prior. And despite that often times a 3rd bidder will jump out of the pack at the end hoping to catch everyone off guard. The price at snap jumps very high quickly. A few times I get kind of bored and stop bidding when prices get too high for reality.

What do you mean a "few times", clem? Prices get too high on a very regular basis. Why do you think Yun Ye ditched the dropcatch game? When you have to pay $18k for a bludy typo of hiway, its time to cash out.

Why would you want to pick on an old man like me?

(Incidently, I have Black Belts in two different martial arts.
I retired from the mat about 5 years ago.)

Maybe we should have a place on this forum with all our SN id's so we can PM each other during an auction???

We can divide the auctions so everyone wins something at a decent price.

Sounds like a great idea -- beating SnapNames/NetSol at their own game. Somehow I feel that based on a few posts above though others could care less about saving money and I get the impression is "bid high" or go home.

If the other bidder doesn't want to make a deal or if he is NameAdmin or BD then bid as high as you can!

Nah, they are harmless and totally sane. Be careful of the wannabe clueless "companies" and rich individuals who drink tequila as they bid. Also the kamakaze pilots, those who love to crash and burn who don't give a damn about defaulting payments (actually, they live to do this for the thrill).

Of course, the shill weirdos (but real experts in this game) will always be there. Pumping you up with precise analytics of your bid patterns, then jumping ship just in the nick of time.

You forgot the end-users that appear more and more lately.

Yeah drip, the end-users are the most horrible creatures who actually buy to develop just one domain for the rest of their lives with their life savings. God forbid you meet one of them in your auction!

These people are called "customers" when they aren't bidding in auctions. Correct?

Correct, drip. But as this thread would suggest, auction behavior makes normally sane people weird.

Nah, I was just kidding. We wouldn't mess with you!

It looks like there are a few people 'talking the talk', but not 'walking the walk'. I've identified myself, and a few others have, but what about the rest of you? Seeker, what's your snap ID? Here are the people I am bidding against right now that I don't know... who are these people?
