The Overture domains that AmericanBulldog is posting in this thread are 99% junk. They won't get you traffic. I've scanned Overture list's since Overture was GO2. I've done 100,000,000's of lookup's in total. These are the garbage domains that got into overture do to manipulation, automated scripts checking drops etc,.. Almost all of the above domains have been registered and deleted numerous times. This triggers the false overture scores. Now I'm not saying all Overture lists are junk.
Normally Overture scores with the extension attached like "DOMAIN.COM" are from people typing a domain into the search field in the browser. If enough people do it then overture will show the result if it is 25 or greater. While this is not the same as typing it into the address bar, it correlates pretty well. These are called "type-in's" and we use overture scores to reflect type-in traffic. A domain may also get bookmark and link traffic. Many domains get tons of link and search engine traffic but few type-in's. Overture misses that type of traffic.
How much traffic will a domain get per day with an overture score of 100?
If the overture score has not been manipulated then a 100 score will usually bring in 50-150 type-in's per day. Lot's of variables come into play so the numbers are not exact. Don't go registering the crap above as they are false readings and you won't get traffic from them. Dropping domains with "real" overture scores are selling for $1000's+ even with scores of 25 or 50.
There was a time that I posted 100's of free overture score domains per month. But that was when registrations were $70-100 for 2 years and PPC was 1/10 of what it is now.
Here is a search for all overture domains in april 2006 that contain the word "freestuf". Note the typo domains that also get traffic.
