Hold on to these domains!!! As mobile surfing becomes more popular, so may .mobi making your BankAccount.mobi almost equivalent to owning BankAccount.com.

thanks guys... they are on my list to hang onto for some years, they were both hand regs at godaddy 4 hours after landrush, got many nice ones like that so i figure hanging onto like 50 of my best ones that cost me $60 each will be a nice low risk gamble with the possibility of an insane ROI..

ok- maybe it is just me- so dont kill me or anything- but-

bankaccount.com- have you been there? its nothing- ads-
if i need to check MY account, i am ONLY going to MY banks website- i would never in a million years go to another site and put in my bank info like that for access to my bank account- why would i do that, add another step to get to my account in this day and age of identity theft??

i can see if like bank of america wanted it for their use and their customers- but i cant see the real use for alot of different people and alot of different accounts- which then to me makes it a nice word, but not so usable to the general public.

to surf on my phone looking for a new bank account, like the .com which is just an ad billboard- possibly you could utilize a "real" tool to compare in real time banks and the accounts they offer- but not even the .com does that.

the potential in this domain is the actual name itself. In a way he is right.
*however*, the bank that does buy this domain which is easy to remember, would get a good exposure and a good deal.
still, the appraisals so far seem realistic, and not too far fecthed.

as for the "use" of the generic term bank account, i agree.. i cant see people going to bankaccount.com (or .mobi) to access their own bank account.. that'd kinda be like everyone going to email.com to check their email
