Hi Guys, this is my first post and its on a subject that I dont have a massive amount of knowledge about so please go easy on me:blush:

Our IT company looks after several companies domain names, however he would like to pull these in and loose the 3rd party, and become a nominet registrar and so looks after these domain names directly.

What requirments do we need to become a registrar. I heard that we would need 2 nameservers. Is this correct? Any info would be great.

At the moment we use a external DNS providor called Ultra DNS. Can we carry on using this. Or do we need to get the appropiate solution for this in house rather than use Ultra DNS.

Please, if anyone can offer advise or info or anything then that would be great.

Cheers

Nice and simple, apply, pay membership setup fee circa £500 and then pay the yearly subs of £150 ish quid from recollection.

You do not have to be a UK company to do it either. :)

Regards,
Chris
