Domainsbot was ok a year ago... Now they upgraded to another platform and are full of bugs. They do not even reply e-mails.
My last e-mail to them (they never responded):
Hello,
you should correct bugs in your current system instead
of sending predictions e-mails. The best thing you might
need to do is to return previous version of domainsbot.
I've downloaded a zip archive from you a few days ago
with the domains supposed to have RGP status. About 50% of
this list is outdated - the domains are either already free
or have been dropped and reregistered already.
I've looked through popular domains in registrar hold
status (overture, yahoo etc lists) and I see that all those domains
are actually redemption period. When I look at the list you call
redemption - they are actually registrar hold.
Also, I still cannot download say dmoz listed domains in satisfactory
format. As you may guess, people who download popularity lists
are probably using their own databases and so they need to export
what they got in either MSaccess or some sql database. Well,
in old domainsbot arcives there were separate lines for domains
presenting in different DMOZ categories:
domain1.com /category1
domain1.com /category2
NOW you list all categories in one line separated by comma:
domain1.com /category1,/category2
And so it is almost impossible to export your popularity lists
to any database.
When I try to download any archive with popularity lists - I need
to wait while 1-2 megabytes page loads, just in order to press
download list link.
When I surf through your website - I always receive tons of
errors generated by your server and also receive requests to re-login.
Why don't you bother to analyze your server error log files???
Actually, if you visit snapcheck dot com you will find almost
the same information for free. They do not have bugs like you have.
I'm very sorry to see what happened with your service... I will
unlikely renew my subscription, better to pay exody or use snapcheck
for free...
