Dear friends

I have several dot mobis
where is the best place to park .mobi?
Do you prefer to park the domain or develop it?

thanks

ah.... could you pm me that pm that you pmed to edyst3? I use park, but thinking there is another haven for .mobis to be parked?

Fredo,

I would like a copy of that pm as well if you don't mind.

please pm me a copy also...thanks lots!

This thread would lead me to believe that your .mobi portfolios are receiving type in traffic. Is this a good assumption? I do not own any .mobi so I have no idea. What kind of traffic are your generic undeveloped .mobi's producing?

Take a very wild guess Gavin LOL....

Haha... I already have. That is why I am wondering why discussion on where to park them if there is no traffic? Or am I missing something here?

There is some traffic. but not sure where they are from..

Since you're asking - Namdrive has a convenient sort function on it's marketplace. These are the only 7 (!) listed .mobi domains with visitors AND revenue:

freewap.mobi 85 US$ 6.14
grannies.mobi 79 US$ 0.53
sudokube.mobi 11 US$ 0.28
uksingles.mobi 9 US$ 0.10
buse.mobi 8 US$ 0.09
sellphones.mobi 7 US$ 0.09
triband.mobi 8 US$ 0.03

To answer your question about the source of traffic: Desperate owners of .mobi domains? Or click fraud?

I've got a few mobi domains - and I'm as surprised as anyone that they are starting to get traffic. Not huge traffic of course, but traffic all the same.

Problem is they are at Sedo and getting squat for CTR. Maybe I'll try namedrive for them.

.mobi domains don't get type-in traffic, unless it's another domainer looking to see if you got a site up yet.

the average person doesn't even know about a .mobi to even type it in their browser.

the traffic if any, is most likely from (domainers) to those respective marketplaces, ND and Sedo searching for names.

i have L-L.mobi which gets some visitors and they ALL are from sedo internal search, not from type-ins.
