The BitShack hosting service is up for sale.
This would be ideal to expand a current hosting company or for someone
looking to start up.

It consists of just over 400 hosting accounts, plus domin registrations.

The turnover is around $20,000 a year, all sites hosted on one server
from DataPipe ( $3200 a year rental ).

The package includes :
BitShack.com
BitShack.net
BitShack.us
BitShack.co.uk
CutPriceDomains.com

Bitshack.com was appraised by Sedo ( full appraisal ) at $6,500, that
was purely for the domain name.

All domains are held at Enom and GoDaddy, the sale includes these
accounts.

http://www.boxedart.com account included.
http://www.2checkout.com account included.

2 months of support from ourselves to help the transition.

BitShack has been providing hosting continuously since 2000, the last years

Hi, I am from Australia and I am in a similar business. What duration have your customers signed up for etc? (ie: 12 month hosting etc.) Also where did most of them come from? What is the current asking price in AUD?

Cheers

Also what relation are you to ConcordeNet? Will you have anything to do with this company after you sell bitshack?

Also how do you handle support? Is there some kind of centralised, branded service that can handle support without someone actively running it?

Hi blaze,

The rough breakdown is :
370 on yearly billing
35 on monthly.

If you mean where are the customers located then a majority of them are US based with a fewer from UK and Aus.
In Australian Dollars we are looking for offers around AUS$20k.

About my relation with ConcordNet ( Cascade iCom Pty Ltd ) here is the brief ( ish ) story :

I started the Bitshack hosting service back in late 2000, around 2002 I started working closely with them ( and supplied their Linux hosting ). In early 2005 I decided it was time to move on from the hosting business so 'sold' it to them for shares in their company.
Since then we have worked together on some other projects and they are looking to change from hosting as well now, so I am helping them sell Bitshack. ( They might also be interested in selling the Aussie based Concordnet as well ).

At the moment I have very little involvement with any of their hosting business, maybe once a month they will ask me a question.

After it is sold I will continue working with them, but will not be involved in the hosting business.

At the moment all support is handled 'in house' by a ticketing system. Over the years we have worked closely with the clients, also it is a fairly basic service ... Hence support requests are kept to a minimum. If you wanted you should have no problem sub-contracting that out if you so wished.

Hope that helps.

All the best.

Richard
