so you think nobody is registering .Biz ?

http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/tlds/001/BIZ-topregistrants.html

very nice read..30% of the new .Biz resolve to an actual web site

authors claim in summary most are used "defensively" ..err so that speculators dont grab them..but thats with any extension (the part they fail to point out)

you can view by company which domains they purchased..amazed at the number of HYPHENATED domains...well not really...their buyers understand the power of keywords ..nasdaq purchases are about 60% hyphenated!

enjoy...

In some ways, I think and have always thought that .biz sucks...

However, in other ways, I think it is a great g(rated r) tld.

In my short experience with it, I think for the most part, .biz is a great extension.

 .biz is a more "complete" address to base a site and virtual business presence on than .info, and is particularly suited for B2B applications. .info's biggest commercial strength lies in its portal potential.

I've got a few .biz's registered including my last name. I have a common last name, so it was pretty cool to be able to get that one. And, yes, i am using it for my business web site. I hope Zoltan's right. It would be nice if it becomes as popular as .com. I don't think it will, but I wouldn't mind if it does. :)

I had the direct opposite opinion, I don't think .biz or .info will come any close to the value of .com's in the future. Time will tell I guess..

If you are looking for a dot com, there is absolutely no way you find a good name for your business. All you get is something like: thisisanotherlongdomain.com. Companies will soon realize that dot biz is just as powerful as dot com, in fact it was created for companies, businesses.
Dan, you are right, time will tell, but I'm optimist, dot biz will rock !

.biz takes a bit of getting used to, just like blue cheese.

Funny how some things grow on you over time and how adaptable people are. Just like the time I used to think .com sounded weird.

Opinions do change over time :swg:

Any need to explain what .com is best for?

Actually, buydomains is the biggest single buyer of .biz - close to 3,000 if you look down Bid's link to .biz purchasers.

I have seen .biz names being offered for sale at BD. Risky bizness to say the least :swg:
