I would appreciate your thoughts on the retail value of the domain name

BrainTumorSurgeon.com

I have been contacted by a Neurosurgeon who specifically inquired about this name and one other, which I also just happen to own (lucky, I guess). Anyhow, this is not my "favorite" name for a website for a neurosurgeon, but it's apparently the favorited and favored name of this highly trained and experienced top neurosurgeon. As I am sure you can easily imagine, neurosurgery is the highest paid specialty in medicine, particularly for those neurosurgeons who really ARE brain surgeons.

If this were your name, what would you suggest as a starting price, and what would you hope to get for it?

Thank you very much for your thoughts on this one.

Best regards,
Sheila

Sounds a little goofy for a doctor. Good luck.

Love your new photo/avatar ... don't much like the very loooong domain. I think someone would just type in "Tumors" or "Cancer" ... IMHO ... of course, I wish you the very best!! :)
Good Luck.

Ha ha ... not to worry, my friend. The other name he wanted is very traditional, professional, and appropriately stuffy. I guess he wants to have names that not only other doctors will find, but also one or two that patients who need his specialized services might find.

If I had a brain tumor, I'd certainly want to find someone who could remove it. I'm not certain that I'd even be able to recall, much less spell, the formal specialty name!

Goofy is in the eye (or brain) of the beholder, so to speak.

After all, this was the name the doc specifically requested. I seem to remember someone saying once that the "customer is always right."

Thanks,
Sheila

Dear Cool One,

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for noticing my new Avatar. I didn't think that Tucker and I look that different from one another, but perhaps we do.

I know what you mean about the length of the name, Cool, but
I'm just trying to deliver precisely "what the doctor ordered." That's what he wants; that's one of the names I have, so we have a perfect match. Now, given all of that, what would you ask for the name? Come on, Cool .... go out on a tiny little limb for me, please???? Just take a guess. No one will even know ... I promise!!!

Hugs,
Sheila

Well if someone is interested, ask $500, and take $100.

Agree with GiantDomains on value. I wouldn't feel right taking more than $500 for this one.

is it just me, or are you trying to squeeze money out of someone who helps people with cancer?

With all the SHIT going on in the world today, why can't we try to do some good deeds as well? I know I have been trying.

Anyways, all I am trying to say is, please consider giving it to him (or selling cheap). I know I would

Ice: He runs a business, just like lawpsych does, it's not like taking money from the cancer foundation for a domain where that money could be put to good research.... he earns a lot of money from his profession for himself, he's not doing the brain surgery for free. :)

Well, with the hugs and all ... :shy: ... I suppose you could "ask" for $200 or so, and then accept $50 or so (if it's countered). Sounds about right to me for such a long domain name. Hope all is well! ;)
Good Luck.

I went back and forth on this one...
A surgical oncologist who specializes in removing brain tumors, right?
So we have a neurosurgeon, who is a cerebral oncologist....
Indeed, we have a braintumorsurgeon!
$575-$725 a good catch ask him if that's all he does!
