I run a video production department and often hire camera operators in different cities. The phrase "cameraman" typically isn't used in professional circles. I wouldn't want to hire someone from "cameraman.com" because it sounds too amateur...


I think it would be a great site for a wedding videographer. It is a big business.

Why do people not actually use the "." when posting in a forum? Does it devalue the name? monetize?

Definitely developing will increase the value of this domain. Traffic brings in revenue and you can sell a premium (oops... forbidden word on DNF) domain many times more on top of its earning.

Maybe you should consider a stock photo site where photographers (including amateur ones) to post their photos for sale online. They have turnkey for that... check out ktools.net as an example...

How do you get all these names? :lol: Anyways, huge Hollywood factor on this one! I mean, get some movie studios and producers to have a look at this name and you might fetch an incredible amount, as those guys have "unlimited" money hehe ..

Hollywood is amazingly stingy with its money. Even a director like Martin Scorsesse has to pay out of his own pocket to finance his movies (a la The Aviator).
As a film production major, I would rather look at some of the professional camera manufacturers. Sure, its Cameraman and not Camera, but for these companies, most of their clients are professional "cameramen".
