I think the price may range anywhere from 25 to 75k

One of the things that web 2.0 brought to every Internet user is
ability to participate in online life. Advanced technologies in combination
with people's desire to be a part of the web made many sites like
YouTube extremely successful. Most of the phones right now have
cameras, and it is a norm now to shoot a video and post it online.
We see a trend here that will affect the future, and this domain name
can definitely be a part of the trend, depends who will be the end user
Take a look at CNN.COM's new site, it has very large video section now.

I think the NET expects us all to become a CAMERAMAN in near future!

as a content producer on the web, i would jump on this domain in a minute for exactly this reason-- i mean, except for the fact that it's five figures. :)

Thx you again. I am wondering if development and some traffic will increase the value in this case, thoughts?

I run a video production department and often hire camera operators in different cities. The phrase "cameraman" typically isn't used in professional circles. I wouldn't want to hire someone from "cameraman.com" because it sounds too amateur...

I think it would be a great site for a wedding videographer. It is a big business.

BTW..

Why do people not actually use the "." when posting in a forum? Does it devalue the name? monetize?

Name,com or Name(.)com instead of name.com?

thanks

Definitely developing will increase the value of this domain. Traffic brings in revenue and you can sell a premium (oops... forbidden word on DNF) domain many times more on top of its earning.

Maybe you should consider a stock photo site where photographers (including amateur ones) to post their photos for sale online. They have turnkey for that... check out ktools.net as an example...

How do you get all these names? Anyways, huge Hollywood factor on this one! I mean, get some movie studios and producers to have a look at this name and you might fetch an incredible amount, as those guys have "unlimited" money hehe ..

Hollywood is amazingly stingy with its money. Even a director like Martin Scorsesse has to pay out of his own pocket to finance his movies (a la The Aviator).
As a film production major, I would rather look at some of the professional camera manufacturers. Sure, its Cameraman and not Camera, but for these companies, most of their clients are professional "cameramen".

I find sashas advice rational and more likely to result in an end user sale than looking for end users in hollywood
