Whois says this:

Created On:30-Jul-2001 05:49:36 UTC
Last Updated On:11-Jan-2002 01:37:41 UTC
Expiration Date:30-Jul-2007 05:49:36 UTC

Status:INACTIVE
Status:DELETE PROHIBITED
Status:RENEW PROHIBITED
Status:TRANSFER PROHIBITED
Status:UPDATE PROHIBITED

Was this name supposed to drop on Jul 30th? Just curious...

Thanks!

Hi elivate,
If a renewal does not take place by day 30 after expiration, the Registrar will send a Delete request to the Registry. The Registry will then place the domain name in the Redemption Period status for 30 days.
In other words: The name will drop 60 days after the expiration date.

there are quite a few premium .info's with that status

Yes, this is a premium .info and I was just wondering if it will actually drop...

This is the perfect time to get premium .infos. There will be 1000s of them dropping within the next few months.

It's probably one of the premium .info locked at the registry. When it drops your guess is as good as mine.

I am pretty sure this might be the case for this particular domain, do you know why some of these are locked??

I think a few .info domains were grabbed back in 2001 based on bogus TM then revoked at some point. I guess the registry should release them someday.

Ahhh... this one does have a TM attached but it is obviously not valid, it is a very common, generic thing... It will be interesting to see the bidding if it does get released...

Actually, the domain names that are locked expired in 2006. All of the domain names that are dropping now will become available once the expiration cycle is complete. Get your backorders in now, it's almost feeding time.

Justin,
Since you end up with all of the good ones, where do you backorder domains?

Or, do you use a script?

Anyone have a list of upcoming drops?

I guess he won't tell, and neither would I

But I don't think you can get them with a script
