Was wondering how to go about advertising it. Thanks

Don't get discouraged. I just launched equineforum.com recently and it;'s also getting off to a rather slow start.

In time, I think it will be successful.

just my .02 - think about the possibilities if you associate it with an already successful site that doesn't have a forum (with the cooperation of the successful site, of course) There are all sorts of inherent opportunities for cross promotion and horizontal integration.

jeez - sometimes you guys here are such wet blankets...

go HERE and browse the dog clubs - identify the contact people and invite them and their members to join the forum.

sponsor chats on topics of interest to specific breeds, specific performance events, specific health issues, puppy mill issues for specific breeds...yada, yada, yada.

Dogs are a BIG Popular topic (so are horses, cats, birds...) you just need to be creative and persistent and determined. (and don't let the pessimists bum you out)

Gail ;)

Thanks "issues" - sorry "mythical" - I forgot I started out in the editor section at dmoz before I jumped to that section - that is why it wanted a password even thought the category was in the public side.
