Does anyone have a feel whether there is any opporortunity in catching dropped typos? Login would indicate that if a name is making money someone would not drop it, but then on the other hand some people may not want to risk associated with typos?

sure, you can catch them....because i have caught some and will continue to keep my traps ready.

another premise to figure in that logic:
the domain makes money, but maybe it didn't make enough to justify renewing.
especially if they are cctlds that have slightly higher renewal fees.

but it's always possible, someone else may get the name and have better luck

Catching a dropped typo is easy, but you may have to pay a high price in an auction.

I think the trouble is finding expiring typo domains with traffic.

People will always forget to renew domains, even LLL.coms drop sometimes...

When one of the domains on that site drop trying to catch using a script (server based).
Or like said before join an auction.

Are there programs that manage the drop tasting process where you can feed in criteria for domains to buy and then it will keep catched domains based upon a set of criteria?

How many server based scripts are there out there to buy?
