This code is directly stolen from Nomez.com! It is not "inspired" but a direct rip of the code! I found it even more surprising that you would post it as an exclusive script.

My proof:

- His code uses the exact syntax as that of Nomez.com
- Even the variable names are exactly the same
- The sequence of code, and functions are exactly the same

I am posting this on behalf of the new owner of Nomez.com as i have recently sold it.

No code was taken fom your Nomez, it was all written by myself and a friend. The variables aren't exactly the same either :rolleyes:

Really? In fact, even the file names are the same.

Proof:

Your code for the search result page
PHP:
<title>Cimk: Multi Search</title>
<html>
<frameset border="0" rows="105, 50%, 50%">
<frame src="top.php?q=hey&tab=splitscreen&type=Web" scrolling="no" noresize="noresize" style="border-bottom: solid #000 1px"/>
<frameset border="0" cols="50%, 50%">
<frame src="http://www.google.com/search?q=&ie=utf-8&start=0" noresize="noresize" style="border-right: solid #000 1px; border-bottom: solid #000 1px;"/>
<frame src="http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=&ei=UTF-8&b=1" noresize="noresize" style="border-bottom: solid #000 1px;"/>
</frameset>
<frameset border="0" cols="50%, 50%">
<frame src="http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?FORM=MSNH&srch_type=0&q=" noresize="noresize" style="border-right: solid #000 1px;"/>
<frame src="http://web.ask.com/web?q=&qsrc=0&o=0" noresize="noresize" style="border-bottom: none;"/>
</frameset>
</frameset>
</html>

Nomez.com's Code:

PHP:
<title>Nomez.com - Search more. Find Faster.</title>
<html>
<frameset border="1" rows="105, 50%, 50%">
<frame src="top.php?q=hey&tab=splitscreen&type=Web" scrolling="no"/>
<frameset border="1" cols="50%, 50%"
<frame src="http://www.google.com/search?q=hey&ie=utf-8&start=0"/>
<frame src="http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=hey&ei=UTF-8&b=1"/>
</frameset>
<frameset border="1" cols="50%, 50%">
<frame src="http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?FORM=MSNH&srch_type=0&q=hey"/><frame src="http://web.ask.com/web?q=hey&qsrc=0&o=0"/>
</frameset>
</frameset>
</html>

For those of you who do not understand the code, this line says it all:

"<frame src="top.php?q=hey&tab=splitscreen&type=Web" scrolling="no">"

It means, use the file "top.php and make use of the variables $q, $tab, and $type". If it had not been a rip, the file names, and variable names would not be exactly the same on both websites.

Also, this will be my last post on this matter. The new owner will take further action on this dispute.

Oh come on, who doesn't use either top.php or header.php. The rest is just frames, not like you own a copyright to that either.

Really if he used the code or not, it is a very simple easy code.

A simple code he didn't create or try to make up himself. He copied it, the site's concept and idea, and the code directly itself. Why should he be allowed to sell someone else's work?

If you're a web developer, than you'd know why you don't want people taking your work. Would you mind if I steal your sites content and code, and resell it?

The problem with that is, I didn't steal anything. I just borrowed an idea. You going to tell me that Google cares that there are other search engines out there, that do the same thing..

No I think you actually did steal the code, you used the same variables.

Why would you use $q, $tab and $type in the exact same manner? Can you explain why you used q tab and type and what they are? It must be a big co-incidence for you to have named the same variables by accident, especially the $q variable, which is a big no no in programming because of it such an ambiguous term.

$q stood for query, the search term. Google uses that, so we did too. By the way, how are you related to Nomez.com?

Did you not admit to using some of my code on the WHT forum?

Insomnia,

Could you possibly explain a little further how someone could rip off your PHP files? as it's a server side language what's output to the screen is solely the HTML portion not the Variables etc. they are replaced with waht every the value is if I am correct...How ever I understand some Variables are passed via the URL...

This is a problem on the web today...heck there are tons of projects posted daily at sites like Scriptlance and Elance for CLONES of this and CLONES of that....You need to employ some further protection on your sites...I'd say.

I am not acusing him of using my PHP (as I do not think he as access to it, nor do I have the ability to check). However, it is extremely suspicious that he would be using the exact same variables with the exact same "keywords" stored in each variable.

If you can explain to me why you have the same variables AND the same keywords stored in each variable, it would be much appreciated.

Its not my site. No relation to site, just don't like seeing rippers steal work as I saw this thread at WHT as well. I wonder why he closed up both threads after the real developer posted? You're so innocent, which makes you end the sale as soon as you're caught?
