Just snagged this one! I had my choice of .Biz or .Org. The dot Org is still available if anybody cares.

 Thoughts ???

Good name, but I don't see .biz becoming a success.

I like the name Gary - now it's a matter of whether or not .biz gets off the ground. I would develop it now (especially since you are not allowed to sell .biz names alone) and see how things develop over the next few years.

Great Name Gary..
I think the best advice I can offer is build it...dont "wait" for things to happen .....make it happen..

Americar would have it if it was .com

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did not know that a dot Biz name by itself could not be resold without a developed site. Can someone point me to where I can find out, as to what the "Do's and "Don't's" legal ramifications are with Tld's. I am glad I found this website ( dnforum.com ) it can be not only enjoyable, but educational as well. Thanks again for the pointers folks!

Hi Gary:

Here is the rule directly from NeuLevel's .BIZ FAQ page:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Do .BIZ domain names have any restrictions?

Yes. The .BIZ domain can only be used for a "bona fide business or commercial use".

Registering a domain name solely for the purposes of (1) selling, trading or leasing the domain name for compensation, or (2) the unsolicited offering to sell, trade or lease the domain name for compensation does not constitute a "bona fide business or commercial use" of that domain name.

They can take the name back if they find out you are trying to sell the name only. This of course makes .biz less than ideal for domain name resellers.
