I believe you can register at quite a few places, but ultimately if you have more than 1 person register, it will go to auction at Namejet.

We put in some orders at Namejet and they say "submitted" but still no auctions..I thought the auctions were going to start on Aug 4th or 5th or something to that effect? What the hell is going on..they keep changing dates lol

Anyone know the scoop?

Hey, just a question, but did you all notice that you can't cancel a .cm request if it's not on the wishlist? I think I may have 5 or 6 that I really may not follow through with. If the pre-order ends but I don't want the domain, what happens then?

You can "register" domains just now, but it is not first come first served, and your domain may go to auction. The first come first served period is meant to start some time towards the end of August / beginning of September.

Lowest auction start price for any DN is $50 and the auction will determine what you pay to win the name. Then you add the cost of regging the name for 2 years through whatever service (domainmonster for example would be like $300 bucks or so).

If there are no other bidders on the name, you only pay the reg fee.
