I could certainly see o.CO selling in a fair transaction for 350k, if I were the registry I would certainly want to time it with the GA launch, makes perfect sense from a PR perspective. It even works from a PR perspective for Overstock, look at how much we're talking about it here, look at how many other sites have picked it up..... Whether or not the ccTLD will be popular still remains to be seen. Everything on the Internet is about buzz and PR, that doesn't make it shady! If Overstock wants to build a brand around it, good for them for being an early adopter.

I myself purchased over 140 .CO domains - 30 or so of which were purchased for a company I do a lot of consulting for (sold at cost), and they plan on developing them - These are single and double keyword generics of popular products they sell. Of the ones that I registered that weren't registered for them, I already have contracts for three of them - nothing spectacular but in the x,xxx range each - (I had potential buyers that I've worked with in mind for them when I registered them, they didn't contact me. I contacted them and were happy to buy them).

I've also started development of a small handfull of niches that I am already involved in.

I spent $3k+ on .CO domains - my investment has already paid for itself and then some when these transactions go through next week.

There is clearly big money being thrown around, and I don't buy the estimates on the number of domains registered. Each domain has a 'Domain ID' on whois.co - WHOIS.CO is D626927-CO - Ballpointpens.co is D1979559-CO (Registered earlier today, but not by me!) - when GA started domain ID's were right around 1000000 - take away what you what you want, but even with $30 reg fees, people are still buying!

seriously. he just PM'd me 5 times within 10 minutes to pester me. no one pay for this list. it is probably the same list i found within 5 minutes searching on another forum that you can see here (link is not to other forum but just someones website who was nice enough to offer the list FOR FREE)
