I picked up these four names on the drop last night.

xxxxxx.co.uk
xxxxxx.co.uk
xxxxxx.co.uk
xxxxxx.co.uk

Any thoughts on value?

hehe - one of my colleagues just pointed out that saying 'testicles dropped last night' is quite funny :)

It's to do with cloning. Might be worth something to someone someday?? I think you are in the same boat ;-)

Do .co.uks work for porn. I've assumed that a lot of signups are from the us and I'm better off with .coms.

I assume that you were thinking of porn rather than selling toothpaste or something else :D

Not fantastically. Maybe for a British themed web site on a very high quality name / niche but other than that I'd think not.

No problem. This domain name is about the only one I like in this thread, and one I'd say has at least some value. A few hundred GBP at least. Depends on the buyer.

I have lunch.co.uk BTW.

What time did you all pick these names up? You say last night. Are you talking GMT here or a US time?

I'm still waiting for a .co.uk to drop..but it's still in the detagged status..
How long is it before they give up contacting the owner?

You see that URL in the output of whatever domain name it is you want? Visit it. That is ALL there is to know on the subject.

The domain was registered December 1999 and updated on December 2001.
Is this something to worry about?

OMG! That is scary! ;)

Seriously though; reread what I said in my last comment. The information is provided on Nominet's site for all to see. There is absolutely nothing else anyone can tell you other that what is available at the URL in the output. :)

revsorg did some cherry picking before posting the list here :)

NICE JOB ... and he was nice enough to post
the rest here.

I got broadcasts.co.uk and coitus.co.uk (already pointing to adult movie site)

Looking through both lists posted here I found very few, if any worthwhile names.

broadcasts.co.uk - could be useful to an OB company. Better with the singular but still quite strong.

donuts.co.uk - speaks for itself

All the semi-porn names and body part names don't have any value to me. Do they have typeins? Not as far as I can see? Who'd be a likely purchasor? No idea.

So I am forced to believe that a lot of you are simply chucking money on valueless domain names like most of the goons in alt.domain-names.forsale also seem to be doing.

Believe me, 95% of the .uk domain names that get listed on this forum are not good domain names.
