Only a small band of people owned motor cars at the beginning, too...Everyone said: '...useless, don't need 'em.....Horses are King'.

Only a small band of people owned a typewriter at home (or learned to type)....Everyone said: '...No one gives a flying fu*k.....Pen & Ink are King'.

Sound Familiar?....Lol

.
Only a small band of people bought Ford Edsels ... everyone else said 'it looks like an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon ... how much is that Fairlane?'
Only a small band of people bought New Coke ... everyone else said 'blechh ... where's the regular Coke?'
Only a small band of people bought RJ Reynolds Premier smokeless cigarettes ... everyone else said 'what's that, a crack pipe? ... gimme some Marlboros.'

A few years ago I bought a 1959 Edsel Ranger with 44K original miles on it. Hell of a buy, and hell of a sale :approve:

agree...give me the real deal

Winston-Salem, home of RJR - my home town. I knew one of the scientists on the R&D team for the smokeless smokes. He gave me about 4 cartons each of regular and menthol to try long before they hit the market. They were in a few select markets. I think I still have them.

Only a small band of people registered, made sites, and understand mobi. They're in good company with the global conglomerates that have built and launched mobile sites.

Do you own a Segway? If not, why not? It like .mobi was supposed to revolutionize things and simply hasn't but by .mobi enthusiast standards, that means now is definitely the time to buy one because people will eventually get on the bus (figuratively :))

ShytKicker, I'd like to refute some of your assumptions.
.com is not king in many places. Par example, in China .cn reigns supreme. In Russia it's dot-ru.
Even their biggest search engine, yandex, doesn't own .com extension.
And our German friends are in love with .de. Well, this waay better than many other things they fell in love with, say, lampshades from human skin.

Right on Russia and Germany, wrong on China. Dot com is still King there.

The IDN market is a fractional market and one that is almost ccTLD specific. Because of the close ties of languages to geography, ccTLDs are better positioned to benefit from IDN registrations than the TLDs. While the gTLDs have IDN registrations, the rise of ccTLDs means that an IDN is far more likely to be found in a ccTLD than a gTLD. For those speculating on IDNs in the gTLDs, this is not exactly good news. However it doesn't mean that the IDN market has collapsed (from my limited knowledge of it). It is more likely that the shift of IDN registrations towards ccTLDs has changed the market rather than collapsed it.

Regards...jmcc

This is unsubstantiated drivel! Countries and Languages do not really correspond as well as you might think. For example were you aware that Pakistans Official language Urdu is little used orally in Pakistan, but is much more widely used in India. Is it only Russians that speak Russian? Chinese isn't so much a language as a script. And which ccTLD would you use to target the Arabic Market, or do you simply deny the possibility of its existence?

In theory yes....in reality no. You have to find the common denominator based on some mind boggling statistics.

India- Population 1.2 Billion. India has 22 official ‘scheduled’ languages :
Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Marathi, Meitei, Nepali, Oriya, Eastern Panjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

Arabic Countries- IDN.com is the ONLY common denominator that will cover all of Arabic, unless you want 22 ccTLDs including:
Algeria
Bahrain
Comoros
Djibouti
Egypt
Iraq
Jordan
Kuwait
Lebanon
Libya
Mauritania
Morocco
Oman
Palestine
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Somalia
Sudan
Syria
Tunisia
UAE
Yemen

Your audience is 280,000,000 native Arabic speakers, and 250,000,000 non-native Arabic speakers. They may be prone to search for .com than .cc, given the demographics. Of course the best solution if to own BOTH the idn.com and idn.cctld :). Above does not even take into account the many other languages of Farsi in Iran and Urdu in Pakistan etc. etc.

Alright. Dave -RD is here. He's the guy from UK, Czech republic and the outer space called IDN. Years ago he proclaimed that citizens of Idenia speak Jap, the language of Jewish American Princess. Or was it Urdu?
Anyway, he's the guy who blessed Bill to 'transact' that portfolio for Misha Schnider, that our shyster in residence is hiding in his Trust acct, that DNJ doesn't recognize.

Now look here you gobshit. Do you seriously believe that Berryhill would be trying to cover up some scam with the Russian Mafia? Actually, Misha Schnider is a perfect gentleman. And did you ever get DNJ to confirm that had been requested to publish the information? I have had a few pay checks from that direction myself, but it was always on condition of total anonymity. Do you actually have any idea about what you are rabbiting on about?

Ya know, if you are gonna make allegations, its always great to have a source.

It appears that you have been disproven on both "collapse" claims. Another Boy Floats Away in Balloon hoax.

Yo OP.....another IDN auction for a crappy "$10" IDN. Seems at least 5 fools ;) (including native Chinese speakers) bidding it up to $260 in 1 day...and still rising.
Chinese IDN 洗衣机.com [washer] or [clothes washer] or [washing machine]
google SERP 13,900,000 for "洗衣机"
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q="洗衣机"&rlz=1R2GGLL_en&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

洗衣机.com
$360 and climbing....still at least 48 hours to go...
Most bidders are native Chinese speakers. ;)

What are you smoking? I have NOTHING to do with this transaction....on top of that Rubber Duck and I have never even discussed it. I do know the buyer and seller of (IDN) Moscow.com and both are legit. Regarding anything beyond that, show us some facts not hearsay.

Don't let your broker drink and buy.

That's my motto.
