EuroDNS is selling them for 5 euro. Seems like there is a ton of good names (in spanish) still left unregged.

Anyone know why? Is this extension not used much? I bought about 15 for myself just to keep...

Is it new or just never caught on?

.es top level cctld kills the charm of .com.es

When .es was not "free", I mean, when you had to have rights -trademarks, etc.- upon the name in order to get it, .com.es had a meaning, because it was completely "free".

From last November, .es is open, so since then, third level .com.es is not really worth it, although it is cheap.

A few months ago 2nd level registration under .es was restricted so .com.es was an alternative. Not anymore. IMO these names are not worth anything unless they are developed or have a strong history. Why bother with .com.es when you can have .es.

Because I cannot have tattoo.es, so I bought tattoo.com.es I need ´tattoo´and ´.es´ to sell tattoo products in Spain
For the spanish paople, this even seems more serious hehe

Well it depends on your target audience. But are the Spanish familiar with .com.es ? I doubt it.
I guess it's like .com.fr or .com.pt, the locals do not even know about these subdomains.
