Chinese domain name registrars surge again.

ICANN has published the latest .com transactions report from registry Verisign, showing official results from February.

After taking a breather in January, Chinese registrars were back with big numbers in February. eName customers registered nearly 400,000 new .com domains.

eNom had a good month with transfers, netting close to 25k domains.

Here are the top 5 registrars in February in terms of new .com registrations:

1. GoDaddy* 904,955
2. eName 395,082
3. HiChina 202,498
3. eNom** 226,626
4. PublicDomainRegistry 127,397

Here are the top five registrars for net inbound transfers:

1. eNom +24,484
2. Mesh Digital +14,886
3. Uniregistry 13,731
3. eName +12,173
4. Google +7,706

On the flip side, these five registrars saw the biggest net outflow of .com domain names due to transfers:

1. Tucows -19,381
2. GoDaddy -18.819
3. Fabulous -12,053
4. Network Solutions -8,443
5. 1&1 -8,436

*Includes GoDaddy and Wild West Domains **Includes eNom and Name.com, but not dropcatching registrars.
