The .IN ccTLD Registry has announced an open Registration policy on October 28th. Pursuant to this policy, registrations of .in Domains are now opened up in a two phase Regisration process

Directi is the official Accredited Registrar for .in Domain Names. They are now accepting applications for .IN Domain Name Registration.

right now they are accepting applications from trademark registered companies from india.

.IN domain registrations are expected to open from feb 16th worldwide.

I hope lot of good domains are available to register.

Had a look at this. India is having a sunrise period, where only those with registered trademarks are eligible.

You must have an address in India.
Are any registrars offering this as an added service?
I submitted for a .in domain only to be turned down a few weeks ago for not having an office there. They wrote:
"Following are the mandatory conditions for having a domain name under the .IN.
For domain registration under .IN domain, it is required that you have a registered office of your company located in India. The administrative contact name must be the name of the person from your office in India.
--"

anyone know who's offering the office in India service?

From 16th february onwards, you don't required office/address in india.

Any one can register .IN domains world wide like .com/.net etc
