Commission Junction Affiliates..

Are Commission Junction affiliates allowed to purchase stuff through their own refferal links? Do you get paid for your own purchases, or do they penalize you for that? I couldnt find an answer in their TOS..

As long as your are purchasing something, it should be fine. I've done it myself before with some CDs.

Well Im about to spend like $500 on something and was thinking of doing it through my ref link. I dont however want breach any rules that might say thats not ok.. Thanks!

I do it for flights don't see the prob unless you are filling in loan applications to get $$ for affiliates like loans << that is BAD

No its nothing like those free aplications or anything. Its a % based commission so basicly Ill just get some % return on what I pay them.. I guess its not against the rules, but does anyone find that unethical?

I had bought many .tv domains thru my CJ referal link 2 years ago, and there was no problem to get commission paid from CJ. I think it is still OK for now unless they have changed their policy?

GoToMyPC actually encourages people to buy thier product thru thier own affiliate links.

Yeah, it makes sense. Afterall they just want a sale, so whether its you who buys it or somebody else it doesnt really matter. Thanks guys.
