Communigal / Galcomm - lazy a** registrar

So anyone has any luck contacting them? I am not a US resident :)
But still no answer. Auth code for a .com is wrong, but they don`t tell the right one :(

It's 2009 and I've run into the same problem. I don't know what kind of piece of shit registrar Galcomm is but the only reason I'm stuck with them for 2 domains is because I bought them from a member here (DNForum) who was just lazy about getting me the correct auth codes (I will not name that person but I certainly will not ever deal with him/her again). I will also never use Galcomm ever again - and I will never buy a domain registered at Galcomm ever again. It's not worth the trouble.

Is there ANY way to get these guys to respond to me? I am trying to renew 2 names that I got stuck with that are registered with them. I paid for the renewal, they took my money, but the renewals keep on failing. They won't respond to my emails, I've even emailed the WHOIS contact email. I am about to lose these two domains. No wonder the guy who sold me these domains just wanted to dump them on me (he's a user here on DNF and I'm a little pissed off that he/she would do that). WTF.

Try this: moshef at galcomm dot com

Thanks. Got it taken care of... for now. I wonder what it'll be like when I transfer it out in a couple of months...

Beware of this registrar.

They charge you $49.00 additional fee for domains if you do not renew them right away, despite the fact their website clearly indicates renewal pricing. They make no mention of this in their agreement. The company also runs auctions on the side, so they have more incentive for charging fees on expired domains so they can then turn around and try to sell them. Phone support was worthless as they did nothing to assist.

What do you mean by "right away"?

They advised me of a C&D issue with a typo and that they would be giving the company my info despite the whois privacy and no wipo proceeding, I agreed to instead give the company the domain - then Galcomm turned around and sold it instead of giving it to the complaintant as was agreed. (big suprise) It then remained parked for about a year before the company finally got it through wipo...fun times.

Trying to transfer out my 2 domains from Galcomm to a new registrar. I hope I don't have to call or email someone just to transfer out two names. Let's see if Galcomm has improved in any sort of way. Domains are unlocked, and transfer initiated on 4/1/10 (this is not an April Fool's day joke). I'll keep this updated.

Back in the day I had 4 LLL.us there, won through their backorder service. .US backorders are the only thing that used to perform at this registrar.
As I did not renew them in time, they would charge $49 for each for that.
I let them drop.

They are awful, if you are unfortunate to win drops caught by galcom aka communigal, transfer away as soon as you can.

Normally Moshe answers quickly, when he gets the emails. Can't say anything bad about Galcomm.

That doesn't sound good to me. Hopefully I won't have to send Moshe (whoever he/she is) ANY emails.

Moshe is the owner of Galcomm

beware. Rubbish service. Took forever to get my names out- had to go through the transfer process several times.

Control panel is full of bugs and easy to use in the first place.
Get your domains out ASAP.
They haven't changed a bit since I first used them in 2002.

Just an update...I purchased a domain at auction here and then realized it was at GalComm and freaked out when I read this figuring I was in for a nightmare. I wasn't.
I'm not saying that the events posted above didn't happen but just thought that in fairness I would post my experience.

After winning the name I set up an account. Once name was pushed I immediately initiated a transfer to M*****. The interface was a little confusing but that had a lot to do with me not being familiar with it.
Any way...the Auth code is right there in the CP for the domain. I did the unlock...it confirmed the unlock but still showed as locked in my account. A minute late I checked the whois and it showed OK ...so it did unlock.

To be sure I emailed support and rec'd a reply 8 hours later from Tamara that she had checked and the name was ready to transfer. A day later had another question and emailed again. Fast response.

Long story short...6 days later name is at new registrar with no problems and I won't hesitate to buy a name that is reg'd there now that I have been through this one and tested the waters.

Hope this helps.

The thread is about Communigal/Galcomm issues

I did the transfer out to Moniker....I just used M****** as they weren't really what the thread was about.
