Is it real words or real term/phrase? Are you sure it has that many returns with a hyphen? Even wal-mart.com only has 26,000? I don't think I have ever seem a hyphen name with 5 figure suggestion tool numbers using ext. If it is a real term and not an anomaly (perhaps an odd name getting temporary high traffic) it may be valued in mid/high 5 figures or even 6 figures.

Its the name of a popular group (which may be legal issue, but aside from that) who are growing and have their own clothing line with Ecko, shoe line with Reebok. If I go to overture, type in the exact domain I have, I get a count of 20252. Not a dictionary term, but is english.

If it's an entertainers name or popular group then it could easily be a WIPO case soon unless you can use it as a fan club site and the group does not object to that use too much. Due to that issue I withdraw my earlier valuation and sorry to say I can't see paying a lot for it due to the TM issue even with the incredible ST numbers you report.

BTW, I have seen hyphen names in the past (even reg'd a few with good OV numbers myself but no traffic it turned out) which really had no returns because Suggestion Tool treats the dash as a space and the returns may be from the name being typed in to the browser or search box with a space and not really a hyphen so be very cautious in buying it. I would stroingly suggest the seller sends the traffic to to your server first to verify if it is real. You may be surprised.

type it in without the dashes and see what you get.

should be the same result.

unless its cheap, never buy domains with dashes based on OVT, you'll
get burned.

Hi Guys, thanks for your help, I'll do a bit of waiting and gathering. I think I may turn it into a fan site, once I get the name I give you guys more details. Still, I've never seen such a high Overture count with .com ext, and its MINE! Just excited to finally get a valuable name. Thanks

This is what I am referring to:

26737 wal mart.com
26737 wal-mart.com

It is the same with a hyphen and with a space.

That leads me to conclude people usually type it in using a space but OV is oddly programmed for a space and hyphen to display the same results.

Many domainers (myself included) have been burned badly by false suggestion tool returns on hyphenated names but not at all positive about this issue. Hopefully your returns are valid. Try typing it in with a space too and then ask yourself why the returns would be the same (if they are? i.e. wal mart.com).
