Hi All,

I'm trying to decide whether to use a domain name with the county code at the front or the back of the domain.

eg: Lets assume we are selling French Widgets. Would the best domain name be:

1) frwidgets.com
or
2) widgetsfr.com

Also both the hyphenated and unhyphenated versions are available so I'm going to go for the one without hyphens.

Any suggestions welcome.

If it is in English then it is definitely better to name the country first, FrWidgets, for this is how it is said, however, 'Biggie' makes a good point about using the whole name of the country, if possible.

A bit late to this discussion, and I agree with using the whole word of the country (or language) of the widgets - I would add that it's important also to order the term in the correct grammatical term used by the target country - language. So in french, it would be WidgetsFrancais...com or WidgetsFrancaises.com or WidgetsFrance.com :)
