Here's some stats for Gags net website (Last 28 days)
Search Engine Traffic: 10,879
Referring Sites: 2451
Direct Traffic: 1594

Your point about .net won't get type-in traffic is proven wrong. If you don't like .net much then why are you in this thread?

I never implied or said that. Your site is actually a good one with a nice design and very good content, and the domain name has excellent keywords. Was only referring to the important Google results being less than stated and the less desirable net extension. Please stop twisting what was said or meant.

I just dont like dot-net nearly as much as .com or .org with dot-org working significantly better vs .net for health & disease names. In fact, I just tried to reg preventheartattacks.org but was taken years ago.

The main problem with .net is not that they don't do well in search (they do OK) it is they simply get basically zero typein traffic vs dot-org which can get good typeins, especially with disease and health names.

Please don't tell Germans .net domains are worthless. They love them.

Get more offers on my .net's than I do on my .com's... but I am pretty sure that is only because most of the .com's I own are for personal use and brandables. Last .net I sold was to a German company for low xxxx.

I do have some .net's. So are you saying that unless a member likes a particular extension they should not post in a thread involving the unliked extension?

Sometimes a dot-net can do OK depending on the category and its use such as your example and creditcard.net of course. If an established or good site with an easy to remember url they can also get direct nav traffic from past visitors and people who remember the URL as in your case apparently.

Off topic post!!!!!

Great sale!! Congrats. I love .net's

IMHO It depends on your end goal... if you want to build a proper longterm brand get the .com. If you want a great exact match TLD that IS MEMORABLE but will ultimately leak sales to the .com then the .net is absolutely fine if you want traffic, rankings and revenue.

You are & will always be a thorn in the side of the .com so theres your easiest buy out opportunity especially if you can outrank them.

I dont let extensions stand in the way of ranking a domain and making revenue.

Money talks.... 301 it later if vanity matters that much ;)
