Hello,

Here posting my fist domain appraisal.

What is your opinion on the domain:

CRI6.com

I initially believe the term and meaning puts a great value to it, but would like to hear your opinion.

Thanks for your time!
Fran

Worth $0. "Cri6" spells "crisix" to me, not "crisis". Sorry.

Judging by the time you joined DNF, I guess you are a freshman when it comes to domaining (correct me if I'm wrong). Very few people succeed with handregs and the safest and most profitable bet is usually to buy domains that you know have a certain value and liquidity.

.. Hell I don't even want to speak of the names I handregged when I started a few years back. Let's just say that I eventually dropped 99% of them. ;)

Good luck!

Again to some extent you are right. Just recently was the first time I bought domains with the intent of selling, however most have been the cause of sudden project ideas that have popped up.

Now I still believe in Cri6.com, just for the branding potential. Way better than most LLLL.com crazy, puzzling domains out here.

I call for price reconsideration! Either way, seems like I will keep it with me for a couple years.

I have to agree with Stian. $0

Some of my first regs include theblog.eu, ge6.org etc, and I have never looked back.

OK, I'll agree the domain is reg fee but I think he could have development potential.

CRI 6 - Cry 6? Cry Sicks? Cree Six? It'll be hard to build something on this but then again, who ever though icio.us would be worth much anything (from del.icio.us).

Heck, if you're a SG-1 fan you could go with Jaffar.Cri6 (Jaffar! Cree!)

Try no to fall in love with your domains, stay rational :)
If you register names for ultimate resale but have no intention of developing them, you must be picky.
Here are some tips:
  • research reported sales for comparable domains (mix of letters & digits, domain hacks, leet speak etc), that is if you find any
  • what kind of market exists for given domain name
  • are there any possible end users
  • does the name have built-in value without development and: is the domain monetizable
As a rule it is unlikely that an end user will pay top dollar for a certain domain name if he can find another domain of same quality available for reg fee. End users need to have that particular domain... but they don't like to pay a premium, unless they have a good reason to.

Welcome to DNF :)

This domain is not worth anything.

This is a common mistake for newbie domainers to register a domain with no possible use with no redeeming value except in their imagination.

Sorry but there are so many new to domaining who make the exact same mistake with these types of domains.
