Wanted: Service .DE - REDEMPTION PERIOD - HELP!!

After I forgot to renew my ".de" domain name, a rather large registrar from Netherlands is saying I should pay following:

• Reactivation costs - 35,00€
• Quarantine costs - 25,00€
• 1 Year renewal/registration fee - 9,95€
• tax excl...

The domain is in Redemption period right now until June...
I kinda have a feeling that the tech support is blackmailing/pressuring me...(?)

What should I do (except renewing my domains early in the future)??
Is there something I can do in this case or are my hands tied??

Registrars have different policies about redemption prices. I seem to remember enom once wanting $295 for one domain in the past. I'm afraid you have no choice unless you want to let it drop and take your chance at reregging or place a backorder and risk losing it to someone else. If it was me and the domain was important I'd pay it and make a mental note to renew early or set autorenew.
