does anyone know what is a relative value of a .de to a .com, .net, .co.uk , .org ?

What would be the approximate reselling value of a generic .de domain, say e.g. bookstore.de that recieves about 109 type-in/month?

thanks for any opinion

bookstore.de gets 109 type-ins? sure? can't believe it, as whether book nor store is German and I would never use it.... maybe it's not typin-traffic, but from links? you can't compare .de to .com with english keywords either way, it's a tld of a different language, not like .co.uk, which is the tld of an english speaking country.

thanks for your opinion. It's definitely very useful in terms of my buying choices. I am not saying that bookstore.de gets 109 type-ins, it's just an example :)

So English words with .de isn't worth much?

You can't make a general statement there.

There are plenty of english words that are highly known and used in German.
Many others are just not known / used at all.

Your example "BookStore" would not be very valuable as a .de, although you might get offers ranging xx / xxx. Some Germans really like "branding" less known english words, but I wouldn't count on it.

so how much would a German .de domain be worth?

e.g.
Buchhandlung.de ?

Buchhandlung would be quite a good Keyword.

Without going too deep in the analysis, I would say about mid to high xx.xxx

@allanh

I think this thread is not quite in right category.

@Rico

Also not quite an Appraisal thread. Allthe same:

kaufonline.com is not really bad
Reseller xx
end customer low to mid xxx

to summarize (try to):

englishkeyword.de is never worth as much as englishkeyword.com

englishkeyword.de is very seldom used as typein, only for certain english words, that are often used and got addapted into German language

germankeyword.de is nearly perfect (in combination with samekeyword.com perfect)

buchhandlung.de I agree to xx.xxx

kaufonline.com I would never say more than xx - not brandable and not really used much, not really at all in common daily speaking (only in special certain situations, but like said, for a domainname, sorry not a top choice)

always my advise: try to focus your domains on languages you know
