I don't think it has much if any $ value, but its an intuitive name for a forum so it couldn't hurt to throw one up and see what develops. I recently regged DemocracyForums.com and am planning on thowing up a board on it soon.

You should definetly try to develop it as a political discussion forum community and see if you can promote and market it.

I am amazed at some of my counterparts here.
Yes, this domain name has obvious value, and JUST develop it.
The no answer to some good domains names syndrome (NASGDNS) is hitting the industry hard.
Seriously, I think, truly, it is just simple jealousy.
The domain is great. Throw in a forum, and hey!!! thats funny, its suddenly worth quite a bit...

I dont' think it would be right to call an appraisal, BS. An appraisal for me is a personal opinion of an individual on a specific domain. A name may be worth millions to you but $0 to someone else so I think it is up to the owner to collect and filter members' appraisals and make up their own mind...

thanks for the feedback, i too feel it has some value or i wouldn't have registered it. i'm in the process of setting up a another forum, and as soon as that's done I'm going to start this one.

does anyone know of a patriotic skin or template with a partiotic feel??

Jeez, who needs a flamewar in an appraisal thread.

The dn itself isn't so great, upper $xx to a reseller. It's worth quite a bit to an end-user, and probably a lot more to you if you slap up a forum.

Plenty of people I know love to babble on and on about their political philosophies.

It won't take much promotional effort from you to get it going, just a viral send-to-a-friend function.

alt.politics.democrats is quiet now compared to a few years back,
about 200 new posts a day then, one of the biggest newsgroups.

forums are a lot of work though, could try forum software that handles polls and
set some up.
