For Sale Did .org's drop today?

I know my math was correct. So, a couple .org should have dropped. However, they have not changed at PIR.

Did anyone catch any .org today?

There is a trick to whether they drop 5 or 6 days. . . .

Could be yours are the 6 variety.

Interestingly enough, I checked the ones I was watching today (and SHOULD have dropped).

None did.

Strange. None of the domains that were supposed to drop today seemed to have dropped.

Same here. That is what we have been saying all along. I had it happen a few days ago too (as well as several instances a few weeks back - as others reported at the same time). It is very strange. I wonder what determines whether it goes on the 5th day or the 6th day.

As I am complaining here. All of a sudden the names broke loose.

I got a couple but this person had "a field day" because no one else was watching for a drop.

Fooled me!!!

I am not sure who this is.

You're right Richard - the ones I was watching have dropped now too! Someone must have fallen asleep at the switch today. I did have one a few days ago that did not drop til the next day though. It was on Pool's delete list for the first day and I confirmed at PIR that it was due to drop. It didn't and interestingly Pool picked up on that and put it on their list again the next day when it did drop - on the sixth day rather than the fifth.

I noticed the guy who got 6-9.org registered it at 4:53PM Eastern time, so they must have let those names go very late today - that's just over an hour ago.

Yes, I picked up a couple around 5:30 pm eastern. And, he got most of them between 4:50 and 5:15 pm.

I don't know if they dropped over a 20 minute period. Or, the person went back and researched more names.

That also means that Pool missed them because I had some names on my Pool and NW list. And this guy got them. I am not annoyed at this guy. I am annoyed I didn't check more often.

It was a fluke that I checked at 5:30!

Glad you did - you helped me pick up a couple I thought wouldn't go until tomorrow. As for the guy who got your domains, there is only one solution - let's go beat him up! :-D

The guy in SF got Nephew.

And, BD got the other two. So, you probably
wouldn't have gotten them anyway.

It is interesting that BD's registrar continued
to check for org drops. But, Pool and NW did not!

That is a totally different subject. I have never seen what you've been talking about. Every single .org domain that was supposed to drop today did drop, just later than normal. That is the first time I've seen drops start later than normal, but it may not have been the only time. Every .org domain that I've seen drop has dropped on time. I have never seen this "day later" phenomenon that some of you are reporting. You have to be miscalculating the drop date. I offered to verify some drop dates, but nobody has taken me up on that offer.

Yesterday, MarketReports.org had an updated date of 7-25-03
And, OutletStore.org had an updated date of 7-26-03 plus most of the others were 7-26-03

As for the .org dropping late. I assume they had a technical problem which they corrected later in the afternoon.

This is TRUE. I know what people are saying (I had the same issue). Names DO drop on the correct date (the 5 day thing). . .
