I am pleased to report this sale, diy.net has completed a deal with $200K(name transferred already), the buyer and seller are both members of domainclub.org.

congrats!!

I heard there are guys post much higher offer than that, but the seller is very reliable and honest .Cong~!

Funny...this name was put up for appraisal at NP. It was making around 3k a month, so thats why the super high sale perhaps.

why people go to this domain?

It is a very common abbreviation for DO IT YOURSELF which has grown into an industry within itself.

Good sale.

nice, so there's actually traffic in .net

It is not traffic coming out of the blue! I think the traffic is coming from DIY Network (www.doityourself.net)
Congrats on the sale

The owner said at namepros:

"the traffic is almost type_in, some come from diy.com ; some from diynet.com"

Not a bad deal.

Like Focus I think that .net is not a good investment.

...

Lol, great sale, well deserved.

I think its worth every penny.

Have a gem in .net - only one though but still good.

So much to the naysayers of .net
It's the most mature TLD after .com and will continue to increase in value.
I have 6 $xx,xxx .net sales under my belt; waiting for the big one :D

It is not worth that imo. Not a good investment at all for $200K.

NEWSFLASH:

Global economics and commerce does not solely evolve around .com.

Only domainers do.

This is a hell of a sale. If the dot com owner wanted 1 mil or more, then take a hike. This is already branded and entrenched in the do-it-yourself market for home improvements, auto care, and anything else. Will that be the final destination of this? Who knows. That is where I see it going.

That is what makes this a hell of a sale and deal.

So now I am hearing 200K for a .net and 200K for a .mobi are a waste of money and not worth it.

peanutgallery.com is being sold on this forum by a member. Perhaps he should donate it to become a sub-domain of DNF.com.

great sale and great buy. this is worth every bit of $200k.
