i like dn names but this name is only so-so.

I've taken http://www.dnchecker.com, http://www.dnpop.com, and http://www.dnsnap.com (Most of these names are also so-so, but the first two are developed and the third will be release soon)

Well obviously I didn't think that I had business.com, but feel its worth a bit for than $10. Its 5 letters and describes its content perfectly. I kinda of thought thats what we were looking for? I like dnsnap and checker. Did you think your names were worth only $10 when you regged them.
I agree that bin, does have a bit of a bargain concept attached. That is not the true meaning, but it perhaps has become such. So I guess it would be best to build a bargain dn site. Now of course "bargain" seems to be open to a wide range.

Well Ebay is the DNbargain bin of late, but how many people wants dnlogos? I guess you build a site that makes logos. Okay, but a smaller market than people looking to buy/sell domains. Did it also have a transfer fee?
I would love to see this list of better names thats free for reg. Please post in the proper forum and I'll surely send you some DNF bucks.

I don't like "DN" names, either ... as a matter of fact, I think it's a rather silly and limited abbreviation for "Domain Name(s)" ... no one but 'domainers would ever know it! Domainers are like (I'm only guessing) .00000000000001% of the globe, or less. And, I agree ... "bin" is like "garbage", or "leftovers". IMO. Sorry.

By the way I own www.DNads.com so I do like DN names. Mine isnt even worth prob. $25 to anyone.

I did see a lot on ebay the other day that had 50 names in it and all were decent and mostly new regs. It had namebin.com in it and the lot went for just over $200 with no transfer. It seems lately most Dn's belong in a bin anyway.

I think dnbin.com is a fine name. I'd reserve domainnamebin.com to sell alongside it though. Without that, I'd personally avoid such an abbreviation like the plague. (Redirect queries from the long name to the shortname).
I have cdPad.com and I think it works better because it CD is a word and "Pad" has a more neutral meaning for a Cd related website. DnBin.com definitely seems to imply Domain Name Bargain Bin.
That said, if you had a website with a remarkeably EASY interface and an inviting demeanor, I think the short name would probably work to it's advantage.
