dnforum itself is worth the regged fee.

w/ the content and the message board, I would say sell it at $35-$55K.

two years from now,

use prasit_appraisal;

if the eco. is the same
{ $dnforum = $100K }
elsif the internet rocks
{ $dnforum = $250K }

35k? Sorry, but no way this forum alone is worth that much. Webhostingtalk.com sold for $35k only and it is 10 times more popular.

It's hard to see DNForum.com being worth $5k-$7k... even though I enjoy this site, the "signal to noise" ratio is pretty poor. From an advertiser's perspective, the bigger players will already have established their registrar / expired domain / domain grab relationships a long time ago, and the newbies just clutter the place up ;)

Still, if he can get that much for it, great!

5k sounds fair, if the buyer was considering a long term investment. However, with all the negativity around the sale of it now it may be better to take the 5k, and use it to launch a new site. 5k in promotion can go a long way in building a site.

....I feel this is a rather insensitive and unfair comment! If this forum is for the experts only then it should have some qualifying membership login so it can keep us newbies that clutter it up out! We all have to start somewhere in order to become an expert like you!....

5-7k? you on crack mate? More like $500-700. Don't see it making money at all, and it costs to host the site. Seems like a loss maker to me.

I don't think Dan pays to host the webiste. He probably has a sponsor that covers the BW for free advertising. Don't you remember seeing all of the dot5hosting banners?

I would say the website is worth anywhere between 5-7K also.

I think Genki's post is worth taking a second look regarding its value considering ROI.
