Wow!! What's up with the recent forum meltdowns? Two members have self-imploded with a bang in the past few weeks. QQ's recent meltdown was particularly remarkable for the vitriol shown. I haven't been on other bboards before, so maybe this exit behaviour is common, but it was quite shocking to me.

Let's hope calmer times and civility will prevail.

Similar goings-on have been happening at another board I read. It got pretty messy recently... maybe there's something in the air? Alien invasion? Seen the movie Signs? Animals getting restless and violent... seems to be happening with message board participants as well.

Some folks will always be a sandwich short of a picnic.

Fizz:

Some folks will always be a sandwich short of a picnic.

That is one of the funniest expressions that I confess not to ever having heard!!

I hope I get the opportunity to share a few of my own as the occasion provides.

It's not mine, but the expression is typical of the grass roots humor from down under in Australia and New Zealand.

In a similar vein: 'He's a tinnie short of a six-pack', or 'The lights are on, but no one's home'.

Ok, I'll add one of my faves: when you encounter someone you would not call the smartest guy on the block, try this one:

He's "hardly the sharpest tool in the shed."

Okay, a couple more from the huge list of 'FullDeskisms'
Not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree.

On the batting end of a no-hitter.

Only one oar in the water.

So dim that his psychic carries a flashlight.

Swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool.

The gene pool one is good, too!!! Give him Car's paddle to Lats' oar and the dude could swim back to Lats' small island off the coast of New Zealand!!!
