It would interested in what feeback i get ;)

Thanks all

Hi Paul, yes people do buy names from here - quite a number really although we are in a bit of a quiet time at the moment. Of course matching a name that you have with a name that someone wants is not always the easiest task at reseller level.

I've sold many names since I've been here but it's a bit like pushing porridge uphill at the moment unless it's a top name.

No i am not saying i have mega names but i wil be honest, it is frustrating why people like me pay a standard subscription fee, then can only post in the wanted section that people want names and get nothing? dosent really convince me to upgrade to the full subscription fee so i can post in the appraisals or for sale section does it ;)

Maybe the owners of this site will make it so people like me can post in the for sale or appraisal section but not reply to post etc, that way i think the forum would get more user registering.

That is my view :D

Thanks

i can see where your coming from laskos but i dont think you should look at it that way

ebay and other domain auctions charge a few dollars per listing and believe me - the response you get from ebay listings is very poor with regards to domains and websites

members at dnforum buy and sell domain names on a regular basis so if you have several names that you are going to sell chances are youll recoup your membership fee within a month or so

:):D

true you maybe, but how many people hate ebay, and how many people love this site. I dont wanna blow the owners horn here but dnforum.com and domainstate.com and in my opinion the best domain sites on the net as it is a speficiec subject site, where as ebay is full of silly kids selling silly names like blow up sheep ;) ( wanna buy mine ).

The owner of domainstate.com has better options than this site in the way or posting etc, but dnforum looks to me to have some seriouse players in. So would it not be in the dnforums owners interest to let people read and post etc but if they wanna reply or pm people then they have to subscibe.

My views.....

Thanks for your time, drinks at the bar, dont get too drunk :D

eBay isn't all that bad :) many people here use their service and if your names arn't amazing you'd probubly get more for them there.

There's probably a reason you haven't sold a name .. you are a GOLD member and not able to post domains for sale. If you want to sell, upgrade to Platinum ... :)

Yes, Platinum is for sellers. Gold cannot post in the for sale forum. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Your logic is skewed. If anything, that makes it more of an incentive. When you answer a domain wanted ad, your audience is one person. When you post a name for sale, your audience is the whole forum. What is so hard to understand?

what you are saying is pay £10 to reply only to wanted adds, but if i wanna sell my names it is £20? and as i am only a gold member people on this forum will not take me seriouse, but if i upgrade to platinum people will think i am seriouse about selling names?

Like i said in my first post dosent convince me when i reply to wanted adds and no one replys or even says they have bought names, all that happens is the forums go on and on and on people post and post but no replys?

Sites like Domainstate.com has no subscription fees and it is a freedom of speach forums where as this site you have to pay to speak out. i might be wrong i might be right but either way seems a bit annoying and waste of money to reply to wanted adds. At least give the gold members the oportunity to reply in the sales or appraisals section.

ok then can..If people start wanted threads, why dont you have a cut of date so that person if they still are after names say afgter 1 month they have to re post. as in the wanted adds for instant pure casino names wanted started in january and people are still posting there names, but he hasnt said if he is still looking, or bought anything.

My comments are only suggestions and feedback. ;)

Have fun.

Well, I'm a bit confused ... but you do make a good point regarding the "Domains Wanted" section (we need a committee to solve that area). :D
Now, in regards to selling domains ... GD is correct! You will need to upgrade to "Platinum" in order to access the Sales threads, and, ummmm, Live auctions. How much success you will have in either of those two sales mechanisms, I dunno ... there are too many variables to answer that in this thread. You'll have to decide for yourself whether the upgrade is worth it to you, or not.
Limiting yourself to the "Domains Wanted" section will not be sufficient for you, if I'm understanding this correctly.
Chose wisely, and best of luck!
